Over the past two years, this image of the "Canyon Cascade" has ironically become Bokeh Photo's "signature" shot — one of our most requested digital images. It was taken shortly before sunset from Cape Royal on the North Rim of Grand Canyon, National Park in late September, 1999, as part of a Grand Canyon Field Institute class. This explains the strange film choice — PolaChrome instant slide film (ISO 40, here set to ei 20) — used by the class so that we could critique each other's work. [Other technical data: Pentax PZ-1p camera, Sigma 70-300mm APO f4-5.6 lens.]
